Okay, so first of all I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and was anticipating me to make another review. So here it is. Today's review is going to be on the anime Vampire Knight.
First, let's start with CrunchyRoll's summary of the anime:
Yuki's earliest memory is of a stormy night in winter, wherein she was attacked by a vampire... And then rescued by another. Now 10 years later, Yuki Cross, the adopted daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, has grown up and become a guardian of the vampire race, protecting her savior, Kaname, from discovery as he leads a group of vampires at the elite boarding school. But also at her side is Zero Kiryu, a childhood friend who’s hatred for the creatures that destroyed everything he held dear, is now determined never to trust them. This coexisting arrangement seems all well and good, but have the vampires truly renounced their murderous ways, or is there a darker truth behind their actions. Is Kaname's infatuation with Yuki the beginning of a forbidden romance, or is it something in her forgotten past that draws him to her. Because in this world of secrets, nothing is as it seems. And the price of misplaced trust may even be worse than death.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So for me, I like this anime because Yuki, Kaname and Zero are pretty good characters. Plus the fact that they are the main characters in this anime. This anime had a good plot line and had quite a bit of romance in it. The romance cannot be seen but it can be detected. In this storyline, Zero loves Yuki. He is a vampire hunter as well as being a vampire. How this happened? He was bitten by a pureblooded vampire when he as a child. He tries his best to save his twin brother and be normal again. However, that is not the easy task. Yuki is the main female character and Kaname has a crush on her. Yuki's feelings for both Kaname and Zero swtich back and forth. Kaname is the pureblooded vampire in this anime and he sides with the humans. Kaname and the headmaster of the academy both want humans and vampires to coexist. Kaname always seems to have everything planned out and everything that happens throughout this series seems to relates to how his chess board is set up. Kaname likes Yuki and wishes to be with her. Every episode ends with a cliffhanger and most episodes are pretty good but some are all talking and no action. So every once in awhile you will get a boring episode. Though I hope that will not affect your anticipation to watch or read this anime.
I think this anime is good, but not good enough for a 5. So I think you should watch this and judge for yourself.
My rating: 4.7 out of 5
