Vampire Knight (ヴァンパイア騎士)

Okay, so first of all I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and was anticipating me to make another review. So here it is. Today's review is going to be on the anime Vampire Knight.

First, let's start with CrunchyRoll's summary of the anime:
Yuki's earliest memory is of a stormy night in winter, wherein she was attacked by a vampire... And then rescued by another. Now 10 years later, Yuki Cross, the adopted daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, has grown up and become a guardian of the vampire race, protecting her savior, Kaname, from discovery as he leads a group of vampires at the elite boarding school. But also at her side is Zero Kiryu, a childhood friend who’s hatred for the creatures that destroyed everything he held dear, is now determined never to trust them. This coexisting arrangement seems all well and good, but have the vampires truly renounced their murderous ways, or is there a darker truth behind their actions. Is Kaname's infatuation with Yuki the beginning of a forbidden romance, or is it something in her forgotten past that draws him to her. Because in this world of secrets, nothing is as it seems. And the price of misplaced trust may even be worse than death.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So for me, I like this anime because Yuki, Kaname and Zero are pretty good characters. Plus the fact that they are the main characters in this anime. This anime had a good plot line and had quite a bit of romance in it. The romance cannot be seen but it can be detected. In this storyline, Zero loves Yuki. He is a vampire hunter as well as being a vampire. How this happened? He was bitten by a pureblooded vampire when he as a child. He tries his best to save his twin brother and be normal again. However, that is not the easy task. Yuki is the main female character and Kaname has a crush on her. Yuki's feelings for both Kaname and Zero swtich back and forth. Kaname is the pureblooded vampire in this anime and he sides with the humans. Kaname and the headmaster of the academy both want humans and vampires to coexist. Kaname always seems to have everything planned out and everything that happens throughout this series seems to relates to how his chess board is set up. Kaname likes Yuki and wishes to be with her. Every episode ends with a cliffhanger and most episodes are pretty good but some are all talking and no action. So every once in awhile you will get a boring episode. Though I hope that will not affect your anticipation to watch or read this anime.

I think this anime is good, but not good enough for a 5. So I think you should watch this and judge for yourself.

My rating: 4.7 out of 5

Claymore (クレイモア)

This anime is pretty exciting. There contains blood but I would say that this anime is still PG and maybe can be a little PG-13 but it is more PG. It just contains blood. This anime was aired on 2007 April 3rd.

CrunchyRoll describes this anime as:
In this world, from ancient times, people were eaten by beings called "youma". For a long time, people lived without any means to counter them. However, a half-human, half-youma female warrior was born.... Female soldiers known as "Claymore" who, with silver eyes that can see through to the true form of "youma", and carry a large sword as a weapon, continue to battle those which people have named "youma".

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For me, I liked this anime cause it contained a lot of blood, action, and suspense. Personally, I do not watch a lot of anime than I do with dramas. I watch anime when I have free time. However, this anime is a good one and I would surely recommend this to you.

I would say this to a lot of anime that I have watched because I am such a nice guy. But no, I recommend this anime because I liked it among the many I have seen. There are only a few I would not recommend.

Claymore for me was such a good anime that there was not one part where I had gotten bored of. I tried to watch as many episodes as I could've seen in a day. I finished a majority of it in one day.

This had action and blood in it. I was into it whenever I started watching it again. Though it was not that good.

My rating: 4.5 out of 5

Romeo X Juliet (ロミオ×ジュリエット)

An Anime that I have seen awhile back would be the anime called, "Romeo X Juliet." In a way it is based off of the play Romeo and Juliet that was produced by William Shakespeare. This Anime was produced in the year 2007 and contains 24 episodes.

Here is what CrunchyRoll gave the description to this video:
This is a story of a young and tragic love, set in the aerial city of Neo Verona. Tyranny rules this island in the sky after the Montague family took control 14 years prior. The disparity among the wealthy and poor is apparent in the present state, the earth dries and water stagnates. The sky itself is wrapped in a deep dense fog. Both Romeo and Juliet's lineages are of present and past ruling families of Neo Verona. Romeo is the son of the current Montague dictator, Juliet (a beautiful woman) masquerades as a man (Odin), she's the last descendent of Capulet the previous rulers who were killed by an assasin's dagger 14 years ago. Her true background is not to be revealed to her until her 16th birthday while being raised by her sister. The cruel hands of fate introduces 2 people who will become "Star Crossed Lovers".

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I liked this Anime since it contained suspense, action and drama. Also, for you romance people out there, this Anime contains quite a bit since the original play also contained romance. For me, I liked this Anime because there were parts that had held suspense. I liked a lot of the characters and the plot was pretty good.

As an amateur critic, I would give this Anime a probably a 4 out of 5 because it was a pretty good Anime and there are a lot of people who have watched it and actually liked it. Though this anime had a lot of romance there were times when I did not want to watch it. Looking back, I do not know why I liked it. However, it was pretty good. Make your own opinion and watch it.

My rating: 4 out of 5

Welcome to the First Unofficial Anime Insider 101

This is where I will be reviewing different types of Anime. My taste of Anime will vary from you and if you would like then you may suggest Anime for me.

I am a co- or vice club rep for the James Logan High School of JapAnime Club and I am doing all I can to help the club as much as possible. However, even as that, I still need to watch more Anime since most of my viewings has been of dramas.

If you like dramas then please go to http://drama-insider105.blogspot.com

So, if you would like then you may RSS to me but do not expect too many fancy things on this site such as links and whatnot. Also, I would like to apologize if my first couple of reviews are short and don't tell you too much but please comment and tell me what I need to talk about. Thank you for your time and cooperation.
